Week 1 Stuff

As you all surely know, week 1 of the NFL officially starts tonight!!! I will be watching that game along with following my fantasy squad.
Let's start off with my prediction for this week. Bolded + ALL CAPS= winner
Saints @ PACKERS
Steelers @ RAVENS
BENGALS @ Browns
Colts @ TEXANS
TITANS @ Jaguars
FALCONS @ Bears
Bills @ CHIEFS
EAGLES @ Rams
Lions @ BUCCANEERS
Seahawks @ 49ER'S
GIANTS @ Redskins
Raiders @ BRONCOS
Vikings @ Chargers
Panthers @ CARDINALS
Cowboys @ JETS
PATRIOTS @ Dolphins
My game of the week for week 1 is the Steelers @ the Ravens.
This is always a great game! A physical, defensive and offensive, all around fun game to watch.
It is not on tv in Lexington, KY, but now Insight gives free Redzone TV, so now I can watch a lot of teams play instead.

Peyton Manning is out week 1 and that could last longer than expected now, even the entire season possibly! That is a serious blow to fantasy owners.

The two teams that I believe will be GREAT this year and make the playoffs is the Buccaneers and the Lions. Their teams are as good as ever from the past couple of years and I believe that they will be sleepers this year in the NFL. And they play week 1- Bucs win, in a close, offensive battle!

Welcome to my Blog!

Hello everybody! I am writing here to talk about the National Football League. I will discuss my opinions, have polls to vote in, and more!

First of all, a little about myself. My name is Jack. I LOVE football, college and pro. However, they evoke two different feelings. With college football, I feel like there is spirit in the air and I picture Commonwealth Stadium in Lexington, KY or Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, VA. Kentucky and Virginia are my favorite collegiate schools. On the other hand, with NFL football, I picture more of a fall and winter setting with the NFL music playing while I am on my couch watching the CBS and FOX NFL game. For me, the Bengals game is always on, because that is the local channel. I wish that I had NFL Sunday Ticket, that'd be pretty cool! I just love the feeling that each evokes. I have attended two Bengals games, both from 2009. One versus the Ravens (WIN) and another versus the Chiefs (WIN). The Bengals are 2-0 when I am at Paul Brown Stadium, but that was one of the few good years that they have had recently.

Here are some things to check out in my weekly blogs:

Weekly predictions / Last week's results and total record so far
I pick game of the week for upcoming week / Analysis of the previous week's game of the week

AND a Fantasy Football section!
I pick a player of the week
I update you on my fantasy league (it should be interesting)
Also, I'll answer ANY fantasy or NFL questions you have via email or by comment on the blog
My e-mail is jack.totty@gmail.com

So this blog is just going to be a relaxed discussion of one of my favorite things and hopefully many of your all's too, professional football!!!

This music below just makes me so excited for NFL season to start on those Sunday afternoons at 1:00.
